This is our first ground test as a club, and it is a great starting point as a “proof of concept” for a hybrid rocket. We used compressed air & paraffin wax as propellants, which inherently ran fuel rich. We all look forward to some major improvements and more ground tests!

As the academic year is spooling up, we are looking forward to continuing our work from last year.

We will finish up our first rocket engine, Orb V.1, and have a ground test in the coming weeks.

Today we completed our very first hydrostatic test! This test is an important step to ensure a safe ground test.
