Who Are We?

The Orange Rocket Ballistics Team (ORBiT) is a club of undergraduate students in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. We are advised by Dr. Akih-Kumgeh and Dr. Roppo of the MAE Department at SU.

What Are We Doing?

We design, manufacture, test, and launch Hybrid Rockets. This requires not only the knowledge of engineering processes learned in lecture but also skills that are acquired along the way. These skills of programming, machining, computer simulation and more help the student body become better engineers.

What Are Our Goals?

We strive to create a safe and efficient Hybrid Rocket, as well as expand our knowledge of engineering systems. But above all, we aim to have fun!
